A little thing called "Perfection"

Okay so I know the results are coming out tomorrow but I have to say I'm keeping my cool. Don't wanna think about it or else I'll panic like you've never seen someone panicking before. Yeah talk about losing your mind! This post is all about looking for perfection and being a person someone else wants you to be. You see there are a lot of competition, judging, commenting, backstabbing, trash talking, taking sides...you know all that in the REAL world, I mean it's perfectly normal I guess, but one thing that I always question is...one will always do what ever it takes to be someone their not or in this case someone whom others WANT them to be and why?!

Why would you go soo far just to please someone and not to please yourself?
I know parents can be one of the main causes to this 'problem'. Some kids just get so depressed when they don't get to impress or make their parents feel proud of them. Some parents will also plan their child's future or worst their lives! I mean how can you do that?! and no offense but you don't have the right to do that. Encourage them yes but planning their lives for them?!

See I grew up in an environment where my parents friends like to you know 'talk' especially the ladies. They like to talk about how good their kids are in studying or what not, and personally I feel that it's really...hard for the kids to hear you know? Like after they've 'talked', my parents will come to me or my siblings and go like, 'Did you hear what all the aunties said. Their children got straight A's in their exam' or 'Their children got sponsored to go to the UK // US to study medicine // engineering...' then they'll start comparing us to them. Then it'll get us thinking that "We aren't good enough for them". I mean if you we're to talk or compare healthily then it'll probably be fine, I guess. THEN! When we compare us to other kids, my parents will say 'Don't you dare compare yourselves to other people'

I'm just saying, some people are really good in academic stuffs but t
heir sooooo dead socially and vice versa. If your average then you're probably okay at both academic and social, you now? I'm not saying that everyone who is good in academics are bad at socialising. NO! I'm just saying most of them are.

All I'm trying to tell is, nobody is perfect. I know everyone strives for perfection but to me, being yourself, finding out who you are, what you're good at, being that ONE person like no other is perfect. As long as you think it's good enough for you, good enough to make everyone around you proud then it's fine. =)

So whatever happens tomorrow you guys! I'm very proud of you! Hey at least we didn't drop out of school right? No one is going to judge us and if they do...well their just jealous of what we have(whatever that is, LOL) Ignore the comments and judging and just move foward!
